How to prepare a property for professional end of tenancy cleaning?
This actually is quite easy. You don't have to do any special preparations. Just ensure that your belongings are taken away and all the drawers are empty, the appliances are turned off and there is running water and electricity. Our professionals will do the rest.
Can I go out whilst you clean my property or I have to stay in?
You do not need to be there during the cleaning, but of course if you wish to stay we have no problem with that. Please note that you have to be there at the beginning of the cleaning (just to let them in) or if you have a porter or someone else who can let them in you don't even need to be there at the beginning, but you need to be there at the end, to check if you are satisfied and to pay.
Do you clean the oven?
Yes. Cleaning of the oven, cupboards and other appliances, inside and out, is included in the price for Professional End of Tenancy Cleaning.
Are clean windows from the outside?
Window cleaning from the inside is included in the price quoted for one-off or end of tenancy cleaning. If you wish to have the outer windows cleaned and they are reachable from the ground or inside the property, we are happy to clean them for a small charge.
Do I have to defrost my fridge and freezer in advance?
It would be greatly appreciated if you defrost your fridge, freezer or deep freeze in advance. This will help speed up the cleaning and deodorizing process, leaving them in the best possible condition.
Do the cleaners speak English?
All of our cleaners are English speaking, so you can give them instructions before the cleaning. If you have any questions or special requirements regarding the cleaning or the nationality of our cleaners, we encourage you to call our office staff.
Is there any guarantee that you will clean the property up to standard?
Our End of Tenancy Cleaning is a guaranteed service. If the cleaners missed a spot, or there is anything that you are not happy with, you can always call our office within 48 hours, and the cleaning team will come back to do a free-of-charge re-clean of the missed spots.
What are your working hours?
We are very flexible. On weekdays we start at 8-8,30am and the latest cleaning we can do is generally around 5-6pm. On weekends our start time is 9am. You can always schedule a cleaning appointment slightly earlier or later, book early and we will make an appointment that suits you best.
When can your cleaners come?
We have cleaning teams working throughout London, and we can usually provide you with a cleaner the same day if you call in the morning. However, we do recommend you book in advance.

Who will be cleaning my home?
A team of professional housecleaners trained and employed by EF Cleaning Services, will clean your home. All employees of EF Cleaning Services are uniformed, fully insured, and bonded. Our professional housecleaners will not eat, drink, smoke or operate any appliances while inside your home.
Do I need to provide house cleaning equipment and products?
We provide all cleaning equipment and products. If you have a special cleaning product that you would like for us to use, please be sure to discuss this with the manager in advance, so that they can properly instruct their team.

Will it cost the same each time you come to my house?
The Detail-Clean Rotation System starts with two Initial Cleans. The Initial Cleans gets your house detail clean by cleaning areas other companies often neglect. Once your Initial Cleans is complete we will begin our Detail-Clean Rotation System.
Will you come on the same day and at the same time for each clean?
While we can commit to a specific day, there are many factors throughout the day that may affect our actual arrival time. If you desire an estimated time of arrival on the day of your clean, please call us, and we’ll be glad to oblige.
Do I have to do anything before the cleaning?
We ask that you take a few minutes before your scheduled cleaning to tidy. This will allow us to devote all our time to cleaning which will result in giving you the best value for your cleaning fee. We are here to assist you so do please contact us to discuss your individual preferences
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
Absolutely not. In fact, most of our customers prefer not to be home when we clean!

Can I leave my house keys with your office? Is it secure?
Yes you can ... with confidence. Due to work commitments, busy lifestyles and appointments we understand that you can't always be home to let your cleaning team in. This is why we have a secure key holding system. All keys are kept safe and coded separately from addresses. Keys are taken out and returned to the office at the end of each day so, you can be confident that your keys are secure at all times.
What should I do with my pets during the cleaning?
If you have pets, we ask that you prevent them from entering the areas that we clean. For sanitary and safety reasons our teams are not permitted to clean flea infested homes or pick up animal excrement.
How do I pay for my home cleaning?
Payment is due the day of each scheduled clean. Most of our customers simply leave cash on the kitchen counter. Please contact your local office for details.

What is mildew and how can I get rid of it?
Mildew is a type of fungus that can be found growing on a multitude of surfaces where moisture and temperature levels are high. Mildew can typically be identified by its colour ranging from a pinkish-orange to black. Most mildews are caused by an overgrowth of its close cousin, mould. Our professional housecleaners will be able to impede the growth of mildew by removing the built up food sources that it lives on, such as soap, skin, hair and etc. However, as long as humidity is present, mildew will grow in the area. To stop the growth of mildew, the area must be kept dry or in many cases, it must be chemically treated.
Do I have to sign a contract?
You are under no contractual obligation as payment is made at each visit. We would prefer to earn your ongoing patronage based on our ability to meet your needs rather than based on a contractual relationship. We would however like four weeks’ notice to help re schedule our cleaning rotas if you no longer require our services.

It normally takes about 2 hours before the carpet is dry and you can walk on it again - however, we recommend that you wait at least 4 hours to ensure the product has firmly sealed the fabric.
How do you clean carpets?
Before we start to clean your carpets we must do some inspection and after we will carry on the cleaning operation.
Soiling: We will check depth of soil and sign of permanent staining.
Fixings: We will check the carpet fixings as poor fixings may increase the risk of shrinkage
Seams: We will need to check your carpet joined seams too as poorly joined seams may split during cleaning through water or heat.
Backings: Type of backing may influence the method of cleaning. Some Backings are prone to shrinkage.
From the information above we will decide what carpet cleaning method to and system to use to clean your carpets.
